1,000 Books Before Kindergarten at the Woodville Community Library
In support of early literacy, the library invites you and your preschool child to participate in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. The goal of the program is that by the time your child enters kindergarten, they will have read or have listen to 1,000 books and by doing so they have gained the early literacy skills necessary for school readiness.
Come in to the library and pick up a folder and get started.
Don’t think you can do it.
If you read one book before bed time every night for 3 years you will have over a 1,000 books.
If you read 10 books a week for two years you will have over 1,000 books.
